Whispering Wings – Black Cockatoo is a painting created to raise awareness of these beautiful, large birds, which are a threatened species in parts of Australia. Through my use of color, I aimed to evoke a sense of vulnerability and urgency, expressing a quiet sorrow that invites reflection on the impacts of deforestation and habitat loss threatening their survival in South-Eastern Australia.
