Intuitive Abstract Watercolour Workshop

Fri 22 November 2024 –  6.30 – 9.00 pm 

If you’re looking to embrace your inner artist, connect with your creative side, and experience the power of losing yourself in creativity, then this workshop is for you.

This workshop is perfect for all levels of artists wanting a gentle introduction to abstract watercolour painting. You’ll start by learning some basic watercolour effects and brush strokes. Then, you’ll participate in some simple breathing exercises and a short guided meditation to tap into your creative energy before transferring that onto paper.

You’ll have plenty of time to mindfully embrace the peacefulness and fluidity of this medium and see how it can transform your emotional state with every brushstroke. You’ll finish with a small artwork that represents your inner world and will leave not only with a beautiful personal piece of art but also with a more relaxed heart.

All necessary painting materials for the workshop are included in the cost, including herbal teas to set the mood. You will leave with a paint palette of leftover paints, plenty of inspiration, and a peaceful heart. This workshop is a lovely evening out for those wanting to find a bit more peace and calmness through tapping into the power of art. No experience is required, only a kind, open heart is required! It’s open to all ages over 16.

All workshops are run by myself Jodie Westall Kimpton I am a professional Artist and Watercolour Tutor and Gallery owner, I have been painting and designing for over 30 years. I am living proof of the healing power Art can have in our lives – it is my daily meditation, my joy, it has been my therapy many times over and is the quiet place where my heart finds clarity when life gets too noisy. The simple practice of moving paint on a page with little thought of the outcome I find very soothing – I look forward to sharing my journey with you.
