Painted with raw emotion and deep connection, this piece captures one of the most vulnerable and beautiful experiences of my life. It reflects the weeks I spent beside my father’s hospital bed in Bangkok, quietly witnessing his final journey.  The rhythmic hum of machines, his laboured breaths, and our shared sorrow as time slipped away all found their way into the brushstrokes.
Amid the pain, moments of intimacy, joy, and profound gratitude shimmer through — represented by touches of gold. As I wept, memories of our life together — both tender and tumultuous — washed over me. This painting is my heart’s journal, a final conversation, a way of saying thank you and goodbye to my father.
